About

"But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

The Story

In the year after my third daughter was born, I found myself struggling through each day - I was sleep deprived, ever wearing a stained and snotty shirt, and battling sickness as we braved our first Minnesota winter as a family. I was driven to my journal and my knees daily, wrestling with the sacrifices that my season required.

God met me in my weakness, whispering that He was my daily bread. He seemed to shine a spotlight on the word “manna” as I read the Scriptures. Morning by morning, He gave me just enough strength to make it through each day. This realization gave new meaning to my motherhood - He was my sustenance, my portion for this marathon.

During this time, I began dreaming about Milk & Manna - a place where moms could discover Jesus as their provision and be equipped to disciple their kids so that they, too, could trust Him wholeheartedly. I pray that the words and resources you find here will be a source of encouragement and hope in this lifelong assignment of raising up the next generation.

In a world that exalts independence and strength, will you join me in depending on Jesus, trusting that "[His] grace is sufficient for you"? I believe He will meet us here and make His power perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
